SDS Sodium Bicarbonate Dry Desulfurization

Working Principle

After flue gas enters the desulfurization reactor, finely ground sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is injected simultaneously. Activated by flue gas heat and aided by additives, it expands and decomposes into highly reactive sodium carbonate with strong adsorption capacity. The sodium carbonate thoroughly mixes with the flue gas and reacts with acidic gases (SO₂, SO₃, HCl), forming sodium salts (e.g., Na₂SO₄), thereby removing most sulfur compounds.

Process Features

A buffer silo below the grinder uses electric feed valves to auto-adjust reagent dosage based on operational needs.

High/low-level sensors in the silo trigger automatic reagent replenishment.

Silo equipped with rapping and fluidizing devices prevents reagent bridging and moisture-induced hardening.

Variable frequency control of feeding equipment auto-adjusts reagent volume based on real-time SO₂ levels, ensuring compliance and reducing consumption.
