I. Boiler flue gas emission standards
Particulate matter: flue gas emissions from coal-fired and oil-fired boilers shall not exceed 30 milligrams per cubic meter.
Sulfur dioxide: coal-fired boiler flue gas emissions of sulfur dioxide shall not exceed 200 milligrams per cubic meter.
NOx: Flue gas emissions from coal-fired and oil-fired boilers shall not exceed 200 milligrams per cubic meter of NOx.
These standards aim to limit the emission of harmful substances in the flue gas of boilers in order to reduce the pollution of the atmosphere.
II. Flue gas emission standards for industrial furnaces and kilns
Apart from boilers, industrial furnaces and kilns are also an important source of air pollution emissions. For industrial kiln flue gas emissions, the state has also formulated the corresponding emission standards. For example, Hunan Province has issued the Emission Standards for Major Air Pollutants from Industrial Furnaces and Kilns (DB43/3082-2024), which applies to the management of air pollutant emissions from existing industrial furnaces and kilns within the administrative area of Hunan Province, as well as to the environmental impact assessment, design of environmental protection facilities, completion of environmental protection acceptance, and issuance of emission permits for industrial furnace and kiln construction projects.and its operation after the management of air pollutant emissions.
III. Comprehensive Emission Standards for Air Pollutants
In addition, the state has formulated the Comprehensive Emission Standard for Air Pollutants (GB16297-1996), which stipulates the comprehensive requirements for air pollutant emissions and applies to various types of air pollution sources.
IV. Emission compliance and exemptions
Emission compliance: For production processes where the emission concentration steadily reaches the standard and the emission rate and performance meet the relevant regulations, the construction of end-of-pipe treatment facilities may not be required.
Exemptions: for the use of raw and auxiliary materials VOCs content (mass ratio) of less than 10% of the process, can also not take the collection of non-organic emissions.
V. Legal Liability
Article 6 of the Environmental Protection Law stipulates that all units and individuals have the obligation to protect the environment and have the right to report and accuse units and individuals who pollute and destroy the environment. For violation of smoke emission standards, the relevant departments will be punished according to law and urge the relevant enterprises and units to carry out rectification.
